where and when to apply a concealer

A woman's make-up bag is incomplete without concealer.it covers blemishes  and hid dark spots it makes an extra ordinary changes to your look though you must know when and how to apply it, cause it’s not all that simple. The concealer hybrids contains highlighters and anti-ageing always makes a trick in choosing the right one for you choosing the right shade for you.

According to a make-up artist Sadie Hewlett, who do the make over for so many stars for their red carpet appearances, educate us on how to use, where and when to apply the concealer.

“Always start with your foundation,” says Sadie,“once you’ve applied a base you’ll have a better idea of what need extra coverage with concealer. Don’t be tempted to go too light with your concealer, you actually want to try to get the shade as close to your foundation as you can. To get the most natural finish, apply a small amount with a brush and blend until it becomes a part of your base.”

“On days that you don’t want to wear foundation, or don’t have the time or inclination, concealer can give you clean, fresh-looking skin. Start by priming your skin and target areas that need to be evened out and covered up,” advises Sadie. “Sometimes a little concealer around the nose, chin and forehead gives a pretty, healthy finish.”

“I always use two different types of concealer under the eyes. The first step is to match your foundation and create as even a base as possible,” says Sadie. “The second is a light-reflecting concealer, but your touch with this has to be very light as the light reflecting particles can look bright white in pictures. To use these sorts of highlighters properly, apply a small amount to the inner corners of the eyes and blend up and out with a light patting motion to warm up the product and get a natural looking blend.”

“My advice is to use a liquid concealer around the eyes,” says Sadie. “Liquid is less likely to sit in any creases so the effect will be smoother. Cream concealers are much better for covering blemishes or if you’re after slightly more coverage.”

“There are lots of concealers that also highlight,” says Sadie, “but they should be used on cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the Cupid’s bow and on the forehead. Their purpose is to give the face dimension, not so much to cover up. Use with caution - the disco ball look is not a good one!”

However, personally i think applying concealer even makes you look more younger.

Sadie also advice: “Liquid concealers, in my opinion, sit between a foundation and a cream concealer meaning you get the best of both worlds. It makes them slightly more versatile and if you want to streamline your make-up bag, this will do the job of a foundation and a concealer.
